Transferring to UConn from another college or university?
You may wish to transfer to UConn and declare HDFS as your
major or consider pursuing a Bachelor's
of General Studies. Graduates
of Connecticut community colleges are guaranteed admission
to the BGS program and can choose academic programs from
among several established
themes. Some individuals pursuing the BGS who are interested
in HDFS choose the Human
Services Focus from among BGS offerings.
If you are ready to initiate the transfer process, or to
confer with UConn staff and faculty about transfer, contact
the admissions office, UConn
Stamford Advisory Resource Center in the Department
of Student Life, or an HDFS faculty advisor (Dr. Arms or
Farrell). You'll need to work with Admissions to submit an application (including submitting official
transcripts from prior study), to consult with the Advisory
Resource Center, and to plan a course of study with
a faculty advisor. Plan of study and course registration
occur once prior credits have been officially reviewed and
accepted by UConn administration.
