Background:
Professor Alpert received his Ph.D. from Columbia
University. He has published extensively including
his book, The Minimum Wage
in the Restaurant Industry.
He received a U.S. Small Business Administration
grant to survey and compute costs of mandated family
and medical leave. Among other memberships, he is
the former Chair of the Water Pollution Control
Authority in Bridgeport, CT.
