The Emergence of Buddhist American Literature

 

Background:

Besides published articles on American, African-American, and multi-ethnic literature of the US, Gary Storhoff is the author of Understanding Charles Johnson (University of South Carolina Press, 2004) and the co-editor of The Emergence of Buddhist American Literature (SUNY Press, 2009). He is also the co-editor of the forthcoming American Buddhism as a Way of Life (SUNY Press, May 2010). He is currently engaged in two long-term research projects: one on William Faulkner, ethnic women writers, and family systems theory; the other on Buddhism and American culture.
