Dr. Michael Basso, Jr.
Dr. Michael Basso, Jr. has a Ph.D. in Professional
Psychology and Biomedical Systems from Union Institute, an MS in
Engineering Science (RPI), and an MBA in executive leadership from
the University of New Haven, with additional graduate and post-doctoral
study in neuro-biology at Yale University School of Medicine; he
has a professional development diploma from the University of Wisconsin.
Dr. Basso has held various leadership positions in Quality Management,
is currently president of the Connecticut Holistic Health Association,
and is on a variety of committees at the University of Connecticut
School of Medicine. Research interests, including psychophysiological
effects of lighting on humans, inclusive of the industrial environment;
the clinical neurobiology of Alzheimer's Disease; and surgical memory.
Dr. Basso teaches undergraduate Introduction to Psychology (PSY
132), Physiological Psychology (PSY 257) and Industrial [and Organizational]
Psychology (PSY 268) at UCONN-Stamford.
